What to Do on Your Summer Vacation!
- Find an object in your house that begins with each letter of the alphabet.
- Make something in the kitchen using measuring cups.
- Choose 5 colors; go outside and find things that represent those 5 colors.
- Write a letter to a friend, relative or teacher. Do it the old fashioned way, with paper and pen, not email!
- Make a scrapbook.
- Read a story to someone.
- Keep a journal of your summer vacation.
- Draw your own comic.
- Write a short story about a make-believe kid that is on summer vacation.
- Re-arrange your bedroom.
- Plant a small garden or help your parents with theirs.
- Learn which direction is north, south, east and west.
- Have a scavenger hunt with siblings and/or friends.
- Collect cans, take them to a recycling center, and use the money you receive anyway you want.
- Find 5-10 objects, arrange them on a tray and show them to friends and family for 5 seconds. See if anyone can remember all of the objects.
- Get a library card and do some good, old-fashioned reading.
- Start a collection and see how much you can make it grow over the summer.
- Visit a senior citizen home, the people really appreciate when kids stop by.
- Pick an animal and learn everything you can about that animal.
- Go to the park and play with the kids there. Make some new friends.
- Go outside and soak up the sunny weather!
- Run around and play. You won't be a kid forever and you'll miss it someday!
- ENJOY THE SUMMER!!
